While I agree that basing mad science event pets on cruelty is just wrong, you can’t help but admit that some of the experiments on animals are downright mad. And what’s crazier than glowy stuff?

An endotherm produces its own heat and cooling systems to keep its body temp within a very small range. Mammals and birds are endotherms.
An ectotherm uses the environment around it to regulate its temp - like going into the sun to warm up and into a shady burrow to cool off. All invertebrates and fish, amphibians, and reptiles are all ectotherms.
